"Really let down by the build quality"
I bought this Vax hoping it would be decent for normal day-to-day use, but the build quality has been a letdown. After a short time, one of the parts started having problems, and the whole thing just doesn’t feel as solid or sturdy as it should.
I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a product like this to last longer and hold up to regular use. It feels like basic care should be taken to make sure customers aren’t left dealing with issues so soon after buying it.
"This noisy thing is way too loud"
It cleans fine, I guess, but this loud little machine is just too much for me. I can’t really get past the noise.

"Delivery was alright, but seriously late?!"
The package did show up eventually and everything was packed fine, so no issues there. But it arrived late and I didn’t get any updates along the way?! Would’ve been nice to know what was going on.

"I had higher hopes for this..."
I had higher hopes for this. The suction just feels weak, especially on carpets. It will pick stuff up eventually, but I have to go over the same spot a few times, which gets annoying. Also not thrilled with how the terms seemed to change from what I thought I was getting, so overall it’s been a bit disappointing.

"Bought a Vax and for some..."
Bought a Vax and for some reason one small part has already broken. I checked their website and it’s out of stock, and it seems to be the same everywhere else too. It’s frustrating having a cleaner I can’t even fix over one little part. I wouldn’t buy one again.

"Didn’t really seem to clean much"
I might’ve expected too much, but it didn’t really pick up as much as I hoped. There were still crumbs and dust left in a lot of spots, so for me it felt underwhelming overall.
"Awful ordering process, not worth the hassle"
I ordered a carpet cleaner from Vax the whole checkout process was a mess. The site kept freezing right at the payment stage, took my details twice, then dumped me back in the basket like nothing had happened.
When I finally managed to get the order through, I didn’t get a proper confirmation for ages, just a really vague email that didn’t tell me much. The tracking link didn’t work either, so I was left guessing whether the order had actually gone through or where it even was.
I contacted support, but it was slow and not much help. What annoyed me most was the tone, like I was being talked down to for asking basic questions about my own order. It’s really put me off buying direct from them again.

"Battery barely lasts"
the battery is disappointing... it dies after like 10 minutes, maybe, which isn't even close to enough time to finish downstairs. Then it takes forever to charge too. Really annoying for the price, I definitely expected better

"Awful after-sales support"
The after-sales service is just terrible. Once I made the purchase, it felt like they completely disappeared. I’ve tried reaching out and nobody bothers to reply. Like, why is it so hard to answer a customer after they’ve already paid? Super frustrating.

"Didn’t really handle stains or pet hair"
To be fair, I wasn’t expecting miracles, but this still left some stains behind and didn’t pick up the dog hair like I hoped it would.

"Really frustrating site to use"
I tried using vax.co.uk and found it awkward. The pages felt cluttered, and I kept clicking around thinking I was getting closer to what I needed, then somehow ending up back where I started.
The checkout part didn’t help either, with lots of small annoying steps that made the whole thing feel harder than it should’ve been. I was being patient at first, but then suddenly I was just done with it. Closed the tab and gave up.

"Picked up a Vax hoover while..."
Picked up a Vax hoover while it was on offer, so I’ll be fair, for the price, it’s not bad at all. It does the job and gets around the house fine, but there’s definitely a bit of a dramatic pause when you first handle it because it feels quite plasticky. I’m not fully convinced it’s built for a long, glorious lifetime of cleaning battles, but for what I paid, it’s decent enough. Not amazing, not terrible, just somewhere in the middle.

"Emptying it turns into a whole messy job"
I really wanted to like this, but I’ve gotten so tired of dealing with the cleanup after every use. Every time I go to empty the bin, dust seems to spill everywhere, and then I end up having to clean around it all over again. The filters clog up way faster than I expected too. it feels like I spend more time maintaining it than actually vacuuming.

"Works okay, but I keep getting different answers"
The Hoover does the job most days, so I can’t say it’s awful, but the battery already feels like it’s getting weaker after just a few months. What’s been really frustrating is trying to get a clear answer about whether that’s normal or what can be done about it. I feel like every time I check or ask, I get a slightly different explanation. It’s decent overall, but I expected it to hold up better.

"Works fine, just a little heavier than I thought"
It does a decent job cleaning, but I was kind of surprised by how heavy it feels. Getting around corners can be a little awkward too, not a huge problem or anything, just not as smooth as I expected.

"Still waiting on my refund"
I sent my Vax order back thinking it would all be straightforward, but it’s just turned into one of those really frustrating situations. I’ve had to follow up a few times now and still don’t really know what’s going on or when I’ll actually get my money back. The replies from customer service feel very samey and not especially helpful. It’s left a bad feeling, to be honest, and I’d be really unsure about ordering from vax.co.uk again

"Warranty support took way too long"
I had to get in touch with Vax about a fault that was still under warranty, and it was more hassle than I expected. I got passed from one person to another and had to explain the same issue all over again, which got annoying. Replies were slow too, so I kept feeling like I had to chase them just to get anywhere. They did sort it out in the end, to be fair, but it felt like a lot of effort for something that should’ve been fairly simple.
